Original press release issued by the John F. Kennedy administration on the occasion of JFK's trip to Germany. Dated 23 June 1963, document transcribes the toasts delivered by Kennedy and Chancellor Adenauer, where both gentlemen praise the works of the other in promoting world peace. Kennedy remarks, ''...I believe that our task in 1963 is to sustain an alliance through a long period of what may appear superficially to be relative calm...'' Three page release is a mimeograph directly from the Kennedy press office, made from the original typed sheet. Measures 8.5'' x 14''. Writing to upper right corner of first page, else near fine.
