Invitation and program to the first day of the nation's beloved Camelot era, the 20 January 1961 Inauguration of President John F. Kennedy. Lot also includes an invitation to the inaugural concert the night before. Beneath a gilt seal, printed text of the inaugural invitation reads: ''The Inaugural Committee requests the honor of your presence to attend and participate in the Inauguration of John Fitzgerald Kennedy as President of the United States of America...on Friday the twentieth of January...'' Single-page on card-style stationery measures 8.5'' x 11.25''. Program runs 4pp. and features a gilt seal to the top, bound with a red, white and blue striped ribbon. Measures 6.25'' x 9''. Concert invitation is one page and measures 7'' x 9.75''. Toning to inaugural invitation and tape to verso. Concert invitation shows tape and pencil notation to verso and faint staining to upper right. Very good overall with program in near fine condition.
