Oil mogul John D. Rockefeller signed stock certificate for Standard Oil Trust. Stock is signed ''John D. Rockefeller'' as company President. Certificate for 150 shares in the United States' first giant business trust is dated 21 December 1883, made out to Charles Lockhart with serial number 801. Countersigned by Henry Flagler as Secretary and Jabez A. Bostwick as Treasurer. Stock measures 16'' x 7.75''. Well preserved in very good to near fine condition. Lot is accompanied by nine other oil company stocks from throughout the 20th century.
