Apollo 15 moonwalker, Jim Irwin autograph letter signed upon stationery from the High Flight Foundation, the organization he founded post-NASA to promote the teachings of Christianity. Irwin writes to a Melvin Schuetz on 3 May 1979 in part, ''...Thanks for the picture and information on Woomera. My present plans call for me to be in Australia next February with primary activity around Sidney [sic]. I am interested in community speaking opportunities around the country. Can you offer any advice? Congratulations on your continuing contributions to our quality of life. Your friend from beyond the Earth, Jim Irwin''. Letter measures 8.5'' x 11'', with original envelope. Near fine condition.
