Martin Luther King, Jr. convicted assassin, James Earl Ray signed first edition of his book, ''Who Killed Martin Luther King? The True Story By The Alleged Assasin''. Though Ray initially plead guilty to the murder, thereby avoiding the death penalty, he reversed his confession and tried unsuccessfully to gain a new trial. The King family has since come to the conclusion that Ray was not the murderer of Martin Luther King, Jr. Ray signs ''James Ray '94'' to title page of book, published by National Press Books: Washington, D.C.: 1992. Runs 285 pp., housed in its original dustjacket. Measures 6.25'' x 9.25''. Very good condition.
