Apollo 16 Robbins Medal unflown, as one of 300 medals minted to commemorate the lunar mission that launched from Kennedy Space Center on 16 April 1972, commanded by John Young, Charles Duke and Ken Mattingly. Sterling silver pictorial obverse features various mission insignia, including an eagle perching on a shield with the moon's surface in the background, as well as each crew-member's last name. Verso features dates of launch, landing and return engraved. Coin measures 1.25'' and is made of sterling silver, housed in its original ''Robbins Company'' plastic box with an ''039'' sticker on the bottom, though most likely not original box as coin itself does not feature a serial number. Fine. With an LOA from Apollo 13 astronaut Jack Swigert's sister.
