Invitation to the Inaugural Ball celebrating John F Kennedy's new presidency. An invitation printed on card-style stationery invites the recipient to the 20 January 1961 ceremony at 9:00. The original tissue sheet is present, as is a printed card to RSVP, indicating a $25 fee for those attending. Guests' names have never been filled in. Lot includes the original envelopes and a printed slip bearing the following: ''...the Inaugural Ball has been expanded from the National Guard Armory to the Sheraton-Park and the Mayflower Hotels...'' Invitation measures 5.75'' x 4''; RSVP card 5.25'' x 3.75'' and printed slip 4.5'' x 3''. Fine.
