Rudyard Kipling autograph letter signed. The English author of the ''Jungle Book'' writes: ''Dear Dr. Freeman - I have not been very well...let me know whether I could see Mrs. Fleming on Monday morning next at 10 a.m., as I find I can be with her then. Sincerely, Rudyard Kipling''. Against the wishes of their family, his sister Alice Kipling Fleming worked as a psychic. This letter might have been an attempt to visit her. 1pp. on ''Bateman's Burwash Sussex'' stationery, Kipling's estate and residence from 1902 to 1936. Measures 4.5'' x 3.5''. Foxing, toning and creasing. Very good. Matted attractively to an overall size of 9'' x 12.5'' along with an etching of Kipling.
