Hunter S. Thompson autograph letter signed, composed upon a postcard dated 26 October (1966), addressed to Paul Semonin in New York, but with no postmark. Letter reads in part, "Dear Shrink / Tried to call you tonight from my new ranch. I am now the proprietor of Trudi Pederson's spread up Woody Creek. It came by accident, but was too good to refuse. Vast acreage & plenty of room for visitors…Intend to base here all winter but will be in N.Y. in Jan…Esquire bought a part of the book for the Jan. issue & delayed publication. What is your action? Send word or hit the road: Owl Farm Woody Creek, Colo. H". Postcard measures 5.5" x 3.25". Mild toning and soiling, otherwise near fine condition.
