Louisiana State Senate ticket to the impeachment trial of Governor Huey Long. One of the most infamous impeachment trials in U.S. political history, Long was impeached by the Louisiana State House on 19 charges, including attempted murder, shortly after a ''Bloody Monday'' brawl ensued on the House floor. The matter was dropped in the Senate, however, after Long secured the support of 15 key Senators. Dated 1929, ticket is for session no. 31, seat 87. Measures 3.5'' square. With four small holes at top as issued. Near fine condition.
