Howard Hughes signed flight crew cover from his historic 1938 round-the-world flight, with blue stamp confirming it was carried aboard the record-breaking flight. Signed by Hughes in black fountain pen, cover bears cancellations from Paris and New York, as well as several postage stamps. Hughes' record-breaking flight lasted just over 91 hours, meant to highlight the technological prowess and safety of American aviation. Upon his return, Hughes and his crew were welcomed back to New York with a ticker tape parade. Hughes' status as a mythical business and aviation leader was also borne. Cover measures 9.5'' x 4.25''. Signed over stamps, overall near fine condition. Rare. Accompanied by vintage postcard commemorating the flight.
