Howard Hughes letter signed from 1953 regarding cancellation of a loan. Composed on stationery from 7000 Romaine Street, the location of Hughes' empire, Hughes signs ''Howard R Hughes'' on 17 February 1953. This was a busy time for Hughes, as 1953 saw the formation of Howard Hughes Medical Institute, the sale of RKO Theaters and continued involvement in aircraft production during the Korean War. Lot also includes a telegram from Noah Dietrich, CEO of Hughes' company, as well as 3 additional letters, including one signed by Nadine Henley, Hughes' personal secretary, regarding a payout check for $11,835.62. Letter with Hughes' signature measures 7.25'' x 10.5''. File holes at top, notes in pencil and a docketing stamp, overall very good condition.
