Ornate medal from a 1930's Hollywood event. Interesting medal from an unknown event bears the date of 8-12 August 1936 on a banner at the bottom, underneath a depiction of a stage adorned with a dozen flags and a bell labeled ''43''; at the top of the medal appears a ''Hollywood'' banner with a movie camera, surrounded by ten stars and two laurel sprigs. Measures 1.25'' x 1.75''. Medal dangles from a military-style ribbon and pin stamped ''Balfour'' to an overall size of 1.25'' x 3.25''. Tarnishing to metal and wear to ribbon, else near fine.
