Set includes 3 volumes all published by The MacMillan Company in New York: ''1874-1920: Years of Adventure'' ninth printing, published 1957; ''1920-1933: The Cabinet and the Presidency'', second printing, published 1952; and ''1929-1941: The Great Depression'', first printing, published 1952. Inscription on front free endpaper of volume 1 reads, ''To Maury Lee Schneider / With the good wishes of Hebert Hoover''. Inscription on front free endpaper of volume 2 and 3 read, ''The good wishes of Herbert Hoover'' without personalization. Volume 3 has taped postmark from original shipping on 10 April 1959 featuring printed copy of Hoover's signature. All volumes measure 6.5'' x 9.5'' and weigh 6 lbs. 1 oz. collectively. Minor shelf wear to each, overall very good condition.
