Saucer made for the Harry S. Truman White House, depicting the new 1945 Presidential seal design for the first time. China by Lenox features the Presidential seal in gilt at top, with bands of gilt and celadon green accenting the cream and white saucer, designed by the Trumans to complement the renovation of the State Dining Room of the White House. Outermost band is in 24kt gold. Measures 5'' in diameter. Manufacturers stamp on the underside in gilt reads, ''White House Service / by Lenox / X-308 / Made in U.S.A. / B. Altman & Co.''
