Harper Lee autograph letter signed, dated simply Sunday 2 June, possibly 1991. The letter, addressed to ''Dearest Great Sleek Cats'', is likely to her friends Doris and Bill Leapard. Lee thanks them for a clipping and asks them for the address of mutual friends. The letter ends with a cryptic comment about another mutual acquaintance, ''To hell with Miriam Locke...'' Lee and Locke both received honorary degrees from the University of Alabama in May 1991. Lee signs her first name, ''Nelle''. 8.5'' x 11'' single page letter is in fine condition.
