Harper Lee autograph letter signed, dated 15 November 1998. She writes a note to her friend Doris Leapard about the ear surgery scheduled for her sister, Alice. Letter reads in part, ''...The coming weeks will be hectic for us - Alice is finally scheduled for surgery (that includes grafting a new ear-drum to replace the one that was eaten away.) That'll be on Thursday - nothing has been revealed to me about her post-operative care, except that she'll have a lot of dizziness. Think of us then...Much love, Nelle''. Letter is handwritten on a 4.25'' x 6'' UNICEF note card. Fine condition. Accompanying envelope, signed ''LEE'', is very good.
