Front of the medal bears the trademark image of the phonograph and reads, ''NATIONAL ACADEMY of RECORDING ARTS and SCIENCES''. Engraved inscription on verso reads, ''IN APPRECIATION / ROD McKUEN / 'THE GRAMMY AWARDS SHOW' / Telecast 1971''. Measures 3'' in diameter and weighs 213 g. or 7.5 oz. Comes housed in hinged wooden box with felt lining. Near fine condition.
