Gerald Ford autograph letter signed, thanking a friend for birthday wishes and channeling the slang of the 1970s. Letter dated 6 August 1979 on Ford's Presidential stationery reads in full, ''Dear Mary: Thanks so much for your thoughtfulness on my birthday. We miss seeing you so why not come by our 'pad' sometime in either Colorado or California. Take good care of yourself. You have our love. Warmest best wishes, Jerry Ford''. Letter measures 6.25'' x 8.5''. Near fine condition. Accompanied by original Presidential mailing envelope.
