George Washington ship's paper signed as President, dated 15 January 1795. The three language ship's paper is for the schooner ''Cynthia'' of Salem, commanded by Hezekiah Flint and bound for the West Indies, ''laden with Lumber, Bricks, Flour, Provisions, dry & pickled fish, Butter, Oil, Shock & Piece Goods''. Document is signed ''Go Washington'' and countersigned by Secretary of State Edmund Randolph as well as a notary public. Printed broadside measures 12.125'' x 15.5'', with toning, some chipping and fold separations archivally repaired on verso. Blindstamped United States seal intact, as well as notary seal. George Washington's signature is prominently displayed, front and center. Overall very good condition.
