George Washington free frank signature, signed ''Go: Washington'' on a leaf addressed to Major General Alexander McDougall at West Point, New York. Document is undated, but sometime after 1780 when McDougall commanded the Army at West Point after Benedict Arnold's defection. Document measures 10'' x 8.25'', with red wax seal present. Partial paper loss from seal, separation starting at fold lines, and small holes at intersecting folds. Overall very good condition, with prominent signature by Washington.
