General Omar Bradley signed autobiography, ''A Soldier's Story''. New York: Holt, Rinehart and Winston, 1951, first edition. The five star Army General signs upon the title page: ''To Mr George Parrant with best wishes / Omar N Bradley''. The 618pp. award-winning book is based upon Bradley's World War II diaries, when he led more combat troops than any other field commander in history. He dedicates the book ''To those soldiers who must often have wondered WHY there were going where they did. Perhaps this will help answer their questions.'' Book measures 5.75'' x 8.5''. Very light soiling to boards, otherwise near fine.
