Dwight Eisenhower autograph letter signed to his wife, Mamie, undated but likely written during World War II. Composed in pencil, letter reads in full, "Darling, Here are some post cards I picked up and which I thought might be of some interest to Bev -- Bud & John. Would you stick each in an envelope & re-mail? I sent off two scrawls to you yesterday & today. Thought I'd have a chance to do better before evening; but time still presses. Three generals are staying with me this week, and that adds to my burdens, even though Butch does all the work! How I'd like to drop in on you soon if we could have only an hour. There is so much to tell you -- so much I've missed by not having you with me -- Lord, how I miss you. Be good --" Eisenhower signs, "Always yours / Ike". 8" x 10.5" single page letter is in near fine condition.
