Fred Haise signed ''New York Times'' poster of its front page from 15 April 1970, reporting on the Apollo 13 accident and the return to Earth of the astronauts, who were still very much in danger. Haise handwrites the famous words spoken to Mission Control alerting them of the accident, '''Houston, we've had a problem here!' / Fred Haise / Apollo 13 LMP'' in black felt-tip. News coverage includes a diagram of the crew's trajectory back to Earth and photographs of the men, with the sub-headline ''Plight of 3 Crewmen Stirs World Interest and Prayer''. Poster measures 24'' x 36'' on flexible off-white cardstock. Near fine condition.
