Oil painting of Frank Sinatra as a clown, by Innocenzo Daraio. Sinatra commissioned Daraio for the painting and then gifted it to his close friend, Keely Smith. The painting was then famously stolen and held for ransom in 1977, but was later returned. Daraio was known for his clown portraits and meticulous details as a scenic film artist, working on ''The Ten Commandments'', ''Marco Polo'' and ''Cleopatra''. Daraio signs his full name at bottom right. Measures 22'' x 28''. Frame measures 29'' x 35''. Painting is near fine. With an LOA from Keely Smith's daughter.
