Frank Lloyd Wright typed letter signed, dated 18 October 1945 shortly after World War II ended. Wright writes to his representative Aaron Green with interesting content regarding the Imperial Hotel in Tokyo, Japan, with Wright disputing a Time magazine article quoting him as using the word ''Japs'', which he seemed to consider a slur based on the the letter.

Composed on Taliesin's burnt-orange square stationery, letter reads in part, ''...I would like to see my old friends in Japan. Suppose you look up Arata Endo, Architect and Aisaku Hayashi, manager of the Imperial [Hotel] when the new one was built. Give them my best.

Time recently printed an account of the destruction and rebuilding of the hotel quoting me as saying 'Let the Japs do it themselves'. I am incapable of using the word 'Japs' and I denied ever being asked to rebuild it. / Pass that along will you?...'' Signed by Wright in fine black felt-tip with his handwritten closing. Single page measures 11'' x 8.5''. Folds, overall near fine condition. Accompanied by original mailing envelope.
