First Lady Frances Cleveland autograph letter signed. Cleveland, the youngest First Lady in history, responds bluntly to magazine editor Ed Bok. Written on Princeton, New Jersey stationery and dated 13 February 1906, she writes, ''I have no doubt you have inferred from my long silence, that I could not 'see my way' to doing what you asked. I don't want to do it, to begin with, and I have so little time...Frances F. Cleveland''. 1pp. on card-style stationery measuring 5'' x 6.5''. Toning along right edge and adhesive remnants to center. Very good.
