Four awards won by Nobel Prize winner Kenneth Wilson, the influential theoretical physicist who won the Nobel in 1982. Medals include: (1) Caltech Distinguished Alumni Medal received in 1981. Housed in original wooden case with magnet closure and green felt bottom. Medal weighs 205 grams or just over 7.2 oz. and measures 3'' in diameter. Some scratching to back, overall very good condition. (2) Leroy Randle Grumman Award in the category of Theoretical Physics from 1986. Bronze medal measures 3'' in diameter and over 0.25'' thick. Weighs 242 grams. Near fine, in original velvet lined wooden case. (3) Dirac Prize Medal awarded in 1989. Silver 925 medal measures 2'' in diameter and weighs 82 grams. Some tarnishing, else near fine, in its original velvet-lined case. (4) Australian National University Award Medal from 1996. Measures 2.5'' at its shortest and 3'' along longest diagonals. Measures under 0.25'' thick. Weighs 161 grams. Near fine, in its original velvet-lined case. With LOAs for each medal from Kenneth Wilson's widow.
