Phenomenal Grammy award from 1977, won by Mick Fleetwood of Fleetwood Mac for the album ''Rumours'', one of the top 5 selling albums of all time. Released in February 1977, ''Rumours'' garnered both commercial and critical success, and scored top 10 singles for ''Go Your Own Way'', ''Dreams'', ''You Make Loving Fun'' and ''Don't Stop''. Grammy award is a gold-plated metal representation of a gramophone affixed to a wooden base, with a plate reading ''National Academy of Recording Arts & Sciences / Fleetwood Mac / Album of the Year - 1977 / 'Rumours'''. Measures 4.75'' wide x 7'' high x 5'' deep. Light wear to brass plate and rubbing to plating of gramophone, overall very good plus condition. The metal bar connecting the gramophone to the record player has also been repaired, as originally auctioned by Christie's. Previously sold as lot 173 in Christie's Pop sale from 4 February 1998, with auction tag intact.
