First edition, first printing of one of the most enduring horror novels ever written: ''Psycho'', by Robert Bloch, adapted by Alfred Hitchcock into the iconic film only a year after publication. New York: Simon and Schuster, 1959. Novel is complete in its first printing dust jacket, showing the original price of $2.95 on front flap, and with ''First Printing'' on the copyright page as called for. Bound in black and cream boards, with red lettering to spine, and jacket designed by Tony Palladino. A very good to near fine copy, with only mild shelf wear. A modern classic.
