Errol Flynn screen used sword from ''The Charge of the Light Brigade''. Flynn stars as Major Geoffrey Vickers in the 1936 drama set during the 19th Century's Crimean War. All-metal rapier-style sword features a ''honeysuckle hilt'', an openwork knuckle bow and basket, with shagreen handle and brass wire wrapping. Sword comes with a matching scabbard, cast with a pair of rings for attachment. Accompanied by three near fine vintage photographs of Flynn in costume posing on set with the sword, framed together to an overall size of 29'' x 15.5''. Rapier measures 42.5'' in total height. Scabbard measures 1.25'' across. Basket measures 4''. Tarnishing to blade and to scabbard, and a tiny tear to the shagreen, else near fine. With provenance from Sotheby's.
