Ernest Hemingway used bullfighting ticket from 26 July 1959 at the Plaza Toros de Valencia in Valencia, Spain. Hemingway wrote about the bullfights he attended in the summer of 1959 for a series of articles for Life magazine that would turn into Hemingway's final book ''The Dangerous Summer''. The ticket is part of a collection of items owned by Roberto Herrera Sotolongo, who was Hemingway's close friend and personal secretary when he lived in Havana, Cuba. The colorful paper ticket lists the numbered section Hemingway sat in, and contains a lively depiction of a bullfighting scene. Right edge is torn from where the ticket stub was detached. A unique artifact closely affiliated with the actual work of one of America's most storied writers. Measures approximately 6'' x 3''. Punch holes from entry, otherwise near fine condition.
