Ernest Hemingway photo signed on the verso, taken aboard the SS Flandre ship en route to France in June 1953. Glossy photo shows Hemingway along with his wife Mary and others onboard the ship, with the verso inscribed by several people including Hemingway, who writes in green ballpoint, ''Best always to Nancy / Ernest Hemingway''. The recipient, Nancy Nahon, is the brunette in the back row wearing pearls and seated next to Mary Hemingway. Glossy photo measures 10'' x 8'', with S/S Flandre backstamp on verso. Light creasing and wear, overall very good.
