Please excuse me from going further at this time. The affair you refer to was no doubt hastily done, with-out serious [?] in the [?] of a stump speech. In any event, it is not for me to notice it, even indi-rectly. Absence from home has prevented an earlier reply. Sincerely, R.B. Hayes'' Single pp. measures 5.5'' x 8.5'' on card-style stationery and is in very good condition.
