This Emmy was awarded to the writers of ''The Electric Company,'' the 1970's children's PBS TV series produced by the Children's Television Network, the producers of ''Sesame Street.'' Plaque reads: ''1972-1973 Television Academy Awards / Outstanding Achievement in Children's Programming / Team of Writers / Thad Mumford / The Electric Company / October 24, 1972 - PBS''. ''The National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences'' is embossed on top of the base. Statuette stands 15'' high including the base and weighs approximately 6 pounds. Overall in very good condition.
