1972-73 Emmy award from the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences. This Emmy was awarded to the writers of ''The Electric Company,'' the 1970's children's PBS TV series produced by the Children's Television Network, the producers of ''Sesame Street.'' Plaque reads: ''1972-1973 Television Academy Awards / Outstanding Achievement in Children's Programming / Team of Writers / Thad Mumford / The Electric Company / October 24, 1972 - PBS''. ''The National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences'' is embossed on top of the base. Statuette stands 15'' high including the base and weighs approximately 6 pounds. Overall in very good condition.
