Emmy Award statue presented at the 1995-1996 Daytime Emmy's. This award was presented to composer Richard Stone for Outstanding Original Song for the title song of the animated WB show ''Freakazoid!'' The Academy of Television Arts and Sciences was formed in 1946 and began recognizing excellence with the annual award ceremony in 1949. The iconic winged woman holding an atom is made of metal and stands on the slightly convex, grid-lined surface of a round metal base. The base's flat perimeter reads ''The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences''. Front section is engraved with 6 lines naming the award, its category and recipient. Measures 15.5'' in total height with a 7.5'' diameter base. Weighs 4 lbs., 4.75 oz. Black felt lining is affixed to underside. Very minor tarnishing to base and statue; base juts out awkwardly on right side. Else very good condition.
