Three rare and reportedly unreleased photographs of Elvis Presley taken in Germany while serving in the Army. (1) Elvis pictured in an open Army Jeep with two fellow soldiers and mounted machine gun. Typewritten notes on back begin: '''Winter Shield' Grafenwohr, Germany / Official US Army Photograph / 1438-88/9-AB 60 / Scanning horizon for 'enemy soldiers' during exercise ''Winter Shield'', 32nd Armor Scout, Sgt Elvis Presley sights through binoculars over Bavarian countryside Jeep.'' Photo measures 10'' x 8''. (2) Elvis stands in the open trunk of a white car, license plate dated 1958. Elvis is smiling and wearing his Army hat and full buttoned-up suit. Back of photo paper has information written in German. Measures 6'' x 8''. (3) A smiling Elvis is seated at a table with numerous microphones, addressing what appears to be the press. Penciled notes on verso provide no context. Photo measures 6.5'' x 8.5''. Photographs date between 1958-1960. Some discoloration to the second photo, and small tear to bottom of third photo, otherwise minimal creasing; overall in very good condition.
