Eleanor Roosevelt typed letter signed, sent from Hyde Park on 18 February 1949. Roosevelt writes to one Mrs. Garrigue, a nursery school teacher from Poughkeepsie. Written upon Roosevelt's Val-Kill stationery, letter reads, ''Dear Mrs. Garrigue / I am so glad you felt that my speech was good, and I appreciate your taking the time to write me. With many thanks for your letter and for your kindness in calling for me and bringing me home, I am, / Very cordially yours / Eleanor Roosevelt''. Measures 6'' x 7''. Light toning and creasing. Near fine.
