Edwin Booth Lifetime Achievement award presented to legendary actress Helen Hayes. Shakespearean actor Edwin Booth from the famous Booth acting family founded the ''Players Club'' as an all-male organization, but this same year, the club inducted and honored women for the first time. Figural trophy features a sculpture in the round of Booth in costume in his signature role as Hamlet. Lettering to the base reads, ''Lifetime Achievement Award Given By The Players To Helen Hayes April 1989''. Engraved to the surface of the base is a copyright mark and ''Q. Vinn / 1919''. Metal trophy measures 17'' in height on a 5.75'' diameter base, weighing 16 pounds, 14 ounces. Fine. From the Helen Hayes Estate.
