Rendered in pen and ink, Gorey's stylistic interpretation of a feathered reptile references the bird symbolism often used in Yeats' poems. Signed by Gorey at lower right, with spine titling and publisher's information added. Visible portion of artwork measures 11'' x 9'', framed to 15.875'' x 14''. Not examined out of frame, but appears near fine. With copy of receipt from Gotham Book Mart.
