Ed Barrow's own custom Yankees briefcase. Brown leather briefcase features gilt lettering to the front, ''E. Barrow / New York Yankees / Baseball Co.'' Barrow managed the Yankees to great success; under his management the club won 10 World Series and 14 AL pennants over two decades. Briefcase features metal hardware and includes a shoulder strap. Accompanied by a small 9'' x 12.5'' framed display featuring a cut signature of Barrow. Absence of one of the decorative front-leather straps. Measures 18'' x 13.5''. Creasing and general wear throughout, else near fine. From the 1999 auction of collector Barry Halper.
