Early Laurel Award issued in 1950. The Laurel Awards were put on without ceremony by the ''Motion Picture Exhibitor'' magazine, which simply published the names of the winners. Award statue is a metal sculpture of a figure standing beside a large medallion, cast with a laurel sprig design surrounding the title, ''Exhibitor / 1950 / Laurel Awards'', further labeled, ''Voted By The Film Buyers / of the / Motion Picture Industry''. Sculpture stands upon a wooden base with carved wooden back. Measures 11'' x 10.75'' x 4''. A plaque has been removed from the front of the base leaving adhesive residue, else near fine.
