Golf enthusiast Dwight Eisenhower typed letter signed as President on White House stationery dated 28 October 1954. Labeled ''PERSONAL'', it reads in full: ''Dear Mr. Mozel, I want to express my grateful and sincere thanks to you and your partner, Mr. Dean Child, for the interesting golf practice unit you sent as a birthday gift for me. Thank you too, for enclosing the pictures and detailed operating instructions. With appreciation and best wishes to you both, Sincerely, [signed] Dwight Eisenhower''. Lot includes photos of the portable putting green and a copy of an article discussing its invention by this letter's recipient. Single page measures 6.75'' x 8.75''. Very good.
