Dwight Eisenhower signs ''Ike'' in black to a typed letter dated 16 January 1963 from Palm Desert to his brother Edgar. Eisenhower writes with humor on his personal gilt-monogrammed stationery: ''...I quite understand the annoyances you frequently incur. It is often difficult to return a 'No' to some friend who thinks he is doing you a great favor by inviting you to anything from a round of golf to one of these blankety-blank cocktail parties! On the other hand, it's undeniable that there is a lot of golf and a lot of fun here.'' Measures 7'' x 10.25''. Punch holes to top and light creasing to standard folds, else fine.
