Dwight Eisenhower signs ''Ike'' in blue ink to a letter typed on his personal gilt-monogrammed stationery, dated 26 August 1966 to his brother Edgar promising to autograph an item and arrange a meeting for a friend of Edgar's. He expresses anticipation of a reunion with his brothers, ''...Milton [Eisenhower] and I expect to be in Chicago...It will be fun...to get together...'' Ike began suffering from gallbladder problems at the time this letter was written. Measures 7'' x 10.5''. Punch holes and faint fold lines, else near fine.
