Emmy Award statue presented at the 1987-1988 Daytime Emmy's. This award was presented to Zora Sloan for Outstanding Achievement in hairstyling for the long-running NBC drama series ''Days of Our Lives.'' The iconic winged woman holding an atom is made of metal and stands on the slightly convex, grid-lined surface of a round metal base. Front section is engraved with 5 lines naming the award, its category and recipient. The Academy of Television Arts and Sciences was formed in 1946 and began recognizing excellence with the annual awards ceremony in 1949. Award measures 15.5'' in total height with a 7.5'' diameter base. Weighs 4 lbs., 4.75 oz. Felt lining is affixed to underside. A few areas of tarnish to the figure and light scratching and tarnishing, else near fine condition.
