Photo taken by David F. Barry, the western photographer whose portraits of the Lakota people earned him the nickname ''Little Shadow Catcher'' by the tribe. Albumen print, circa 1885, shows Sitting Bull in long headdress standing next to William ''Buffalo Bill'' Cody, with both men holding the same rifle. With ''Copyright by D.F. Barry'' embossed near lower edge. Photo measures 6.375'' x 8.375'', affixed to black construction paper. Very light soiling, overall near fine condition.
