With a black key stamped to front cover, and top edge brown, book measures 5.375'' x 7.75''. Without scarce dust jacket. Previous owner's name to pastedowns and slightly loose binding. Sunning to spine and light discoloration within. Overall in very good condition. One of the high points of noir literature, said to have greatly influenced the Coen brothers' film ''Miller's Crossing''.
