Comte Gentil St. Alphonse, Napoleonic General de Brigade, signs a Certificate of Domicile for Colonel De DeStiere for his living arrangements in Paris. The document, dated 26 July 1815, is signed, ''Comte Gentil St. Alphonse''. On this date, France was once again ruled by Louis XVIII after Napoleon's Hundred Days reign came to an end 15 July 1815; Gentil St. Alphonse now acted on behalf of Louis. Two small additional portions of text are affixed to the two page 4'' x 6.5'' card style certificate. Overall very good.
