Charlie Duke signed lunar map, showing the Descartes region of the moon where Duke landed the Orion as the Lunar Module Pilot. Duke signs in black felt-tip, ''Charlie Duke / Apollo 16 LMP'', and also handwrites numerous lunar landmarks and memories of the mission, such as ''Beautiful white crater very fresh in appearance but beyond our range in the Rover''. Large colorful map measures 37.5'' x 21.5''. Map is original from 1972, titled at bottom, ''Geological Map of the Descartes Region of the Moon / Apollo 16 Pre-Mission Map''. Folds, overall near fine condition.
